Irish Construction Industry Awards

Alucraft attended the virtual Irish Construction Industry Awards yesterday where we were shortlisted in two categories in the prestigious ceremony. Hosted by Richard Curran, the event celebrated the passionate innovators and leaders within our construction sector in Ireland.

We were thrilled to take home the first award of the event for the Graduate Training Programme of the Year. As a specialist sub-contractor, we faced challenges in attracting emerging talent to our company with stiff competition from contractors and leading consulting firms. Due to the recession, many potential employees emigrated or left construction-related careers. This left a void and affected our ability to recruit new and emerging talent for our Design Office. To tackle this problem, we set up a Graduate Programme to develop organic talent and to build awareness of the Alucraft brand throughout third-level universities and colleges. As a result, new graduates joined our Design Office in September 2019. In 2020 we further expanded our Graduate Programme to include Project Managers and were delighted to welcome graduates from this discipline into our company this past September. Our focus is always grounded in our Vision for the future, “To be the employer and specialist façade contractor of choice in Ireland and the U.K.” and having the most elite working within Alucraft to continue our history of excellence in the specialist glazing façade sector.

We were truly honoured to also take 2nd place in the Sub-Contractor of the Year – Large category. Our placement is owing to our dedicated and innovative team who work tirelessly on a range of dynamic projects and deliver the signature Alucraft high standard throughout.
