Spencer Place Façade Test Rig

Our façade test rig, built for Spencer Place, passed the full CWCT Sequence B testing. The test rig included jumbo unitised panels at 3m x 4m with mock feature fins fixed and is the largest we have built thus far at 8m x 6m.

In accordance with CWCT Standard for Systemised Building Envelopes – Part 8 Section 8.13.5; Pre-Testing for Air & Water, we carried out the following tests with Building Envelope Technologies Ltd.:

1. Pre-load the test specimen with 3 number positive air pulses @660Pa (110% of peak test pressure)
2. Air Leakage – Infiltration CWCT Section 5
3. Air Leakage – Exfiltration CWCT Section 5
4. Water Penetration – Static Pressure CWCT Section 6
5. Wind Resistance – Serviceability CWCT Section 11
6. Repeat Air Leakage – Infiltration CWCT Section 5
7. Repeat Air Leakage – Exfiltration CWCT Section 5
8. Repeat Water Penetration – Static Pressure CWCT Section 6
9. Water Penetration – Dynamic Aero Engine CWCT Section 7
10. Water Penetration – Hose CWCT Section 9
11. Wind Resistance – Safety CWCT Section 12
12. Impact Resistance – Serviceability & Safety CWCT Section 15
13. Dismantle, Inspect & Report
